Masturbating Constable

A Police constable told a jury yesterday that he never masturbated on duty because he was "on the Queen's time". But he said he did "knock one out" while in full uniform just 10 minutes before reporting for work.

Richard, 31, was accused of "clutching at straws" after a female prisoner accused him of twice masturbating in front of her as they sat in the back of a squad car.

Richard told Swansea Crown Court that he spent "a kissing, but not sexually intimate" day in April 2006 with his girlfriend who incidentally has large breasts and loves to give blow jobs.

He rushed home to Cardigan for beans on toast and to change into his uniform before reporting to the town's police station by 5pm. With a few minutes to go, he said he he became sexually excited "and knocked one out in the bathroom". Semen, he said, got on to his handkerchief and perhaps his uniform.

At the police station a sergeant asked for volunteers to drive to London to collect a prisoner wanted for questioning about the theft of a BMW sports car from West Wales.

In London, Richard promised the woman prisoner "a pleasant drive back to Wales".

On the return journey he sat behind WPC Christina Berry and next to the prisoner, who later complained that Richard passed her sexy notes, touched the back of her thong and twice masturbated into his handkerchief. Cross-examined by Miss Elwen Evans QC, prosecuting, Richard denied "making up any story to fit the facts". And he denied ever masturbating while on duty. "I am on the Queen's time then," he said. "But my time is my time." He said the semen in his hankie and the woman's accusations were "just sheer co-incidence". Richard, of Cardigan, denies misconduct in a public office, sexual assault and indecent exposure. The trial continues.
