It's difficult to choose the most challenging porn shoot I have ever worked on.
It would be a toss-up between the time a couple had a fist fight — meaning I had to call the ambulance out... and this one!

One scene on Uniform Behaviour was meant to be about a gang of fit soldiers banging a couple of juicy young ladies who had been caught trespassing on an army training ground. Your traditional orgy setup for a porn video.

I had it all laid out in my mind — loads of horny group sex. In real life most of the guys on this shoot were auditioning to be porn stars, which usually means there will be a couple of no-shows.

This is pretty normal. However, this time only three out of seven showed. So already I was four blokes down, some gang-bang!

One of the main problems of shooting porn is that stars lie about their looks. Sometimes a guy or a girl can turn up and I think "It's been a few years since that promo shot was taken, mate". I have had plenty of guys turn up with beer barrels where once there'd been a six-pack — do they think I'm blind?

This scene has to be the worst example of this sort of thing.
I'd heard the guy had walking difficulties due to a road accident, the truth was he could hardly walk at all and when he did he swayed from left to right like the ball in a game of tennis.

I couldn't believe my eyes! It was too late to cancel the shoot, so I had to manically re-write the script, casting him as a wounded soldier that the others had to save and drag across the roof to safety.

On top of this I had some wanker Yank who told me he could act over the phone, as an extra.

He was very particular about how he wanted to appear on the film. Turns -out he could hardly even speak, fluffing the simplest lines like "Over here, soldier" or "What are you doing?" It's hardly Shakespeare but he was as wooden as a clothes peg, and three sizes too small for his outfit.

As if these problems weren't enough, the film was meant to be shot on the roof in the sunshine, but it pissed down.

I thought by this time my troubles must be over, bad luck coming in threes and all that. Alas, the worst thing that can happen in a porn film, was yet to come.

The one good-looking bloke I was going to focus on, couldn't get it up! I continued filming one couple over one side of the room (carefully avoiding the sound of the ice cream van outside) while he continued to struggle with his hard-on!

I was in trouble. In desperation, I thought about doing a girl/girl scene with the two girls but they had no toys.

Then, luckily, the good-looker managed a stonker of a hard-on, right at the last hurdle!
