The following day passed quickly and uneventfully enough for Margaret Dowler. John had shown up for class again, she managed a brief conversation with June Goodwin and then, at the end of the day, Jim Hansen stopped by her classroom to confirm their date, for that evening.

There was no trace of a lingering illness on Jim's part and Margaret began to wonder why the man had taken a day off from work. She suppressed her curiosity and told Jim to come to her apartment at nine, giving her a chance to change and relax after a long, hard day on the job.

"You look terrific," June commented, her eyes sweeping along from Margaret's carefully made-up face to her low-cut and revealing dress. "I've never seen you dressed no nicely."
"You look fine yourself," Margaret told her. "But we'll talk about that later."
June did look especially good that day, young and slender, needing no cosmetics or fancy clothing to appeal to the older woman. It was tempting to get something started while they waited for Jim, to take the gorgeous little creature into her arms and relax in the best possible way, but Jim was due to arrive soon and it was out of the question.

Margaret instructed June to wait in the bedroom, giving the girl a stack of magazines and a portable radio with earphones to while away the time. June started to ask questions but was immediately silenced. She didn't have to understand what was going on, didn't have to do anything but wait.

Jim arrived a few minutes later, knocking loudly at the door and then handing Margaret a bottle of imported champagne as he stepped into her living room. He kissed Margaret on the lips and then sat down reluctantly as Margaret broke their embrace and disappeared into the kitchen for a few minutes.

They drank champagne together and Margaret was careful to give Jim no opportunity to put the make on her. They talked, drank, danced, talked some more and then switched to martinis after the bottle was empty. To her satisfaction, Margaret noticed that her date was now far gone in drink.

"Come on, honey, this is nice but I want you now," Jim slurred, staring her straight in the eye. "Don't be coy with me, it's a little late for that."
"I don't mean to put you off," Margaret answered, finally letting the man kiss her. "Damn, this is so embarrassing."

Jim plunged his tongue deep into Margaret's mouth and then went directly for the woman's tits.
